She started her own business shortly after qualifying with Hartlands School of Motoring quickly becoming successful in the Redditch and Bromsgrove area. In 2003 Gill sort to take her career one step further and became involved in Instructor Training.

Lynne Plant had a similar start to her career, also wanting something that would fit around her family lifestyle. She qualified in 1992 starting her own business "Flying Colours Driving School" which was based in Birmingham and the surrounding area. She started training instructors in 2003 when she decided that those wanting to be driving instructors would benefit from her wealth of experience.

The cars used for lessons are Ford Fiestas with 1.4 litre diesel engine, manual, 5 speed and are fitted with dual controls. The reason behind the cars? simple, Fiesta are one of the easiest cars to learn to drive in, with their generic lay out, the transition between the fiesta and your own car is made instantly easier.
